SYMPTOM

How do I import my 1095-B information, including payer, recipient, and dollar amount data?

SOLUTION

Yearli offers the ability to import your 1095-B data using an Excel file.  The Excel file templates are available for download on the Yearli website:

  1. Log into your Yearli account.
  2. Select Start New Forms.
  3. Click Import Data.
  4. Choose the Yearli option.
  5. Select the 1095-B button.
  6. Choose the link to download the Excel template and instructions.

The Excel import file must be formatted using the exact column headings that are shown in the sample file.  If the column heading names are altered, the import will not be able to read the file.  For purposes of the import process, you are able to import all data at once or partial data as needed.  The minimum data required in order to complete the import process is the payer's name and TIN and the recipient's name and TIN.  All other columns are optional for importing.  Enter all necessary data in the file that you wish to import.  If you would like more information about formatting the data within the Excel file, please see the recommended articles below.

Once the Excel template is complete, please follow these steps to import the data:

  1. Log into your Yearli account.
  2. Select Start New Forms.
  3. Click Import Data.
  4. Choose the Yearli option.
  5. Choose the 1095-B form.
  6. Select Browse for File.
  7. Locate the Excel import file and choose Open.
  8. Review any of the critical or missing data errors listed.
  9. If there are no critical errors, select the Next button to complete the import.
  10. If there are critical errors, cancel the import process and correct the data errors within the Excel file.  Attempt the import again.
