SYMPTOM
The 1099 or 1095 forms my recipient received only show the last four digits of their SSN or EIN. The recipient copies of the 1099 or 1095 forms in my Yearli account also only show the last four digits of their SSN or EIN. Why is this?
SOLUTION
When printing or previewing 1099 or 1095 forms, the recipient TIN will only display the last four digits. The TIN masking feature is an IRS program that assists in preventing identity theft and helps protect the recipient's SSN and EIN. Please refer to the table below to view the copies for each form that supports TIN masking. It is not possible to turn off the TIN masking feature.
